Driving Test

Practical Test* $ 41 to book test. Must be paid in advance.

New South Wales has a graduated licensing system. Practical test can only be taken after 50 hours driving practice is documented with a professional instructor, friend or family member (conditions apply):

After passing the test: 

1.  Red P-Plates must be displayed. You are restricted to 90 km/h Speed Limit for 1 year. If test is undertaken in automatic vehicle, your license is restricted to automatic vehicles. May be upgraded, if another test is undertaken in manual vehicle.  

2.  Green P-Plates must be displayed. You are restricted to 100 km/h for a further 2 years. Restriction to automatic vehicle no longer applies on green P-plates.
